Advancing education and advocacy in elder law in Maryland and the District of Columbia
Please join us for a Chapter business meeting on Thursday, July 16 at 8:00 AM.
At this meeting, we will consider a resolution to adopt the Chapter bylaws, establish the initial Board of Directors, and ratify the initial officers.
The proposed bylaws are based primarily on the NAELA Model Chapter Bylaws, with updates reflecting Maryland law and the operational needs of the Maryland/DC Chapter. They establish staggered leadership terms, defined Board and officer responsibilities, standing committees, and procedures for elections, meetings, and financial oversight.
Members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important Chapter governance meeting.
